Since early childhood I have been captivated by the natural world. Inspired by the blend of art and science, I find beauty in the nature that surrounds me. I investigate and express this through my photography.
From the images I take I create photographic prints. Many are printed on fine cotton paper, each image is hand coated with a light sensitive sensitizer. A negative is contact printed with the sensitized paper and exposed to Ultraviolet light, the final result is a beautiful, tactile object you can hold in your hand. My motivation comes from nature which I capture through my lens. I am then able to transform and create what I see through the camera lens onto paper. Something more permanent and tangible.
